A very good place to start July 8, 2009

This is not the beginning, but this is where we’ll start. My name is Lando. I like music, so to give you an inkling as to what sort of music I like, in some weird way, here’s a list. In keeping with the randomness that’s bound to come, this list is of my favorite albums of 2008. As Spinal Tap’s Nigel Tufnel would say, “This one goes to eleven.” That is to say, it is a top ten list with several ties at number eleven.
  • 11.”The Bedlam in Goliath” by The Mars Volta
  • 11.”The Odd Couple” by Gnarls Barkley
  • 11.”The Anti-Mother” by Norma Jean
  • 11.”Conor Oberst” by Conor Oberst
  • 11. “13 Blues for Thirteen Moons” by Thee Silver Mt.Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra-La-La Band
  • 11.”Into Lake Griffy” by Good Luck
  • 11.”Volume One” by She & Him
  • 11.”Field Manual” by Chris Walla
  • 11.”Feed the Animals” by Girl Talk
  • 10.”Street Horrrsing” by Fuck Buttons
  • 9.”I Want You to Know That There Is Always Hope” by I Was a Cub Scout
  • 8.”Red, Yellow and Blue” by Born Ruffians
  • 7.”Acid Tongue” by Jenny Lewis
  • 6.”It’s Okay” by imadethismistake
  • 5.”In Rainbows” by Radiohead
  • 4.”Flight of the Conchords” by Flight of the Conchords
  • 3.”Hannah” by The Age of Rockets
  • 2.”Saturday Nights and Sunday Mornings” by Counting Crows
  • 1.”Narrow Stairs” by Death Cab for Cutie
If any of those spark an interest, I suggest you check them out. 2008 was a very good year for music.
